End of an era at Queen Victoria Market

With sad hearts we said farewell to our stall at Melbourne's iconic Queen Victoria Market at the end of 2021. The impact of Covid-19 lockdowns has had an enormous impact on the market and we found it difficult to sustain our presence there. We apologise to our regulars, many of whom have been buying from us there since our original Food for your Skin days.

We are in the process of selecting another market retailer to take on our range and will let you know as soon as that's decided. This year we will be focussing on building our stockists across Metro Melbourne so please also check our stockists page to see if another stockist is close to you.

Similarly, please be encouraged to purchase using our online store. Signing up to the newsletter provides you with an initial 15% off code which brings the prices down to the market price. Then throughout the year we regularly promote discount codes via our newsletter from between 15 and 25% off. And postage is always just $5 and free for orders over $100.

To acknowledge our time there I'll feature a photo taken in 2018 when Food for your Skin won the QV Home Grown Trader Award for best local and handmade products; featuring our 2 generations of cosmetic formulators Jenny and Greta Pickering.

Much love,

Greta, Mare and Hannah

Greta, I feel so privileged to have found your stand at Vic Market. I will order online, but my preference remains to view (smell) the ‘products’ first. I did receive such better appreciation of your products when I chatted with someone knowledgeable; especially mine not a ‘perfect’ body; I need to exercise much more care than when younger. Online repetitive purchasing is very inhibitive.

When you have a Melbourne (inner city) based distributor (store) please inform me, so I can purchase there. All the very best to you, for the future, and in this newer distribution stage, P
